It is indeed joyful to be able to celebrate together with students during the journey of learning. After spending about forty hours inside the classroom with a group of students, we move to a lounge for celebration prior to completing our course of study.
As a teacher, I like to follow a sequence of connecting, correcting and celebrating. It means that we must begin our first class by attempting to get connected with the students. To get connected, it is necessary to identify with them and at times having a sense of humour that can help to break the ice.
After we have got connected, a teacher can tactfully correct the works of the students so that they can benefit from their learning. To increase the learning effect, it is helpful to get the students to help one another by commenting and correcting one another’s works.
To maximise the learning, it is vital to have a joyful learning experience although the requirement of the course can be rigorous. To do so, I like to have a time of celebration to mark the beginning of another stage of learning as we end our classroom lessons prior to students completing and submitting their assignments.
能够在学习过程中与学生一起庆祝乃是一件乐事。经过了大约四十个小时和一群学生的课堂时间后,我们在完成课程之前在一个休息室进行庆祝。
作为一名老师,我会按照一个程序和学生建立关系,即是由联系开始,然后改正以至庆祝。这意味着在第一堂课我必须尝试与学生连接起来;为了取得这个階段的关系,要和他们認同並要具有幽默感以幫助破冰或打破可能存在的僵局。
在取得了联系之后,然后才可以很有技巧地纠正学生的作品,以促使他们能够从学习中獲益。而为了提高学习,可以鼓励学生互相帮助,並透过彼此评论和纠正各自的作品而取得进一步的成果。
为了取得更高的学习效率,尽管课程要求严格,但是必须要培养愉快的学习体验。而为了要做到这一点,我喜欢在学生完成课堂学习并提交作业之前来一个庆祝作为下一个階段学习的进路。
