Finally got my Leger Nano S delivered. Good timing too as I’m leaving Nova Scotia tomorrow. I took a few weeks to decide on whether I should get a Ledger or a Trezor. I watched a couple of video reviews on YouTube and finally decided on the Ledger.
Not only is it cheaper than the Trezor, but it accepts more cryptocurrencies as well.
Aside from a little confusion as to why I could only add 4 different wallets at a time, I was able to transfer everything I wanted over with no issues. As it turns out, only being able to add 4 wallets at a time is a security feature to do with space in the drive. If there is no space on the drive, you can’t load any sort of hacking application onto it of any substantial size. This is a little annoying when you first get it because you will want to send more than 4 coins to the device and it takes a little while to uninstall one app and install the next for each coin. Once you have all the coins you want to add put on the device, it will be quick to add the one app and grab an address or send the coins should I want to do a transaction from it.
I’m sure I could have done it a little faster but, because it was new and I wasn’t quite comfortable with it yet, I was waiting for each transaction to go through before I uninstalled the app and installed the next. I didn’t have to do this but I wanted to make sure everything was going through.
If you’re still holding all your crypto in an online wallet, I'd recommend picking one of these up. At least for anything you’re thinking about holding long term.
I dont have a lot of crypto, but i made dam sure i got one of these just in case. They are pretty awesome i jst wish i could have more wallets

I agree on the importance of cold storage. One interesting thing I recall is is Ledger had Ripple which Trezor doesn't yet have. Not sure if that changed yet.
Yeah there is a few coins that I have that the Ledger supports which Trezor doesn’t support. That was the biggest deciding factor for me.
