Those who have invest in Ethereum in year 2021 got return approximately 250% the reason behind this is Bitcoin is first generation Blockchain it is Gold of Cryptocurrency but Ethereum is platform to build smart contract and we have seen many successful project on Ethereum and we will also see it future. It has more real life use as compared to Bitcoin.
On the other hand Ethereum is also working hard for its scalability issue and its massive upgrade to Proof of stake from Proof of Work which is major plan of Ethereum 2.0. As in Ethereum PoS a validator needs at least 32 ETH to become a validator and these validator will selected randomly to create block. This will generate new demand in the market to acquire more and more ETH to become a validator. Validator will also be able to generate passive income via their ETH holding.
Proof of Stake is energy efficient because a validator dos not requires huge investment in hardware as compared to previous Proof of Work if you do not have ETH stake you will not allow to join staking pool. I think Ethereum will perform well in 2022 as well as compared to Bitcoin because of Proof of Stake and if it succeed to to solve its scalability issue and lower the transaction cost. What do you think about it let me know in the comment section.
