Billion Dollar Water Supply Problem


The water problems that are going on right now for people in Mississippi might not be fixed for some time.

It has been estimated that this is perhaps a multi-billion dollar problem that isn't something that can easily or quickly be repaired.

Getting that water supply on track is going to take time.

We should know this considering the amount of times that people there have already suffered with a broken water supply system, experiencing less than reliable water access at times.

They certainly shouldn't be looking to increase rates for the people before they can figure out how to provide a reliable service either.

For folks who live in the region it can drastically lower their standard of living when these situations take place, the disruption to water services could pose a number of problems.

This water crisis has been be hitting businesses and the community, fueling a lack of water supply for everything from cooking to firefighting.

Some say it's only a symptom of a much larger infrastructure problem.

For now it seems that this problem might not have a clear end date in sight and that no doubt causes worry and frustration for many, not just those living in the immediate region.

Some individuals say that they are already spending about $200 a month just on water bottles because of the water crisis that has been ongoing in Jackson.
