There have been quite a few updates and modifications to the INDEX in the past few months. We continue to work hard to build the Index and make it a consistent and reliable way to earn by holding.
New Token
here.We have recently added the DAB token and its miner DBOND. The DAB token and project is a collaboration between @silverstackeruk of @spinvest and @raymondspeaks of @brofund. They provide consistent HIVE payouts as well DBOND tokens as rewards. You can read more about DAB and what they are doing in their most recent post
INDEX Rebuy
We have been able to consistently rebuy INDEX tokens from holders wishing to sell. This allows us to reduce the overall number of INDEX tokens in circulation (outside of the @he-index account) and increase the overall value of the token.
SPS Stake
Within Splinterlands we maintained a stake of 250,000 SPS tokens, but have recently increased that to 700,000 currently. Our SPS stake is one of the highest earners (APR wise) within the INDEX. So we have been using a portion of our liquid DEC and turning that into SPS to help increase the rewards token holders earn. We will continue to watch for tokens that provide consistent payouts and rewards and adjust to ensure we are maximizing the returns as much as possible for our holders!
Holder Voting
We just added voting for token holders to our voting bot. This means that anyone holding at least 100 INDEX tokens can have their posts voted on by the @he-index account. While we watch and continue to tweak the bot over the coming weeks, we will aim to provide the best rewards we can while maintaining our voting power and curation rewards for indexed tokens. The minimum INDEX needed to receive a vote currently is only 100, but that may raise in the future as we maximize our returns on it.
Hive Power
We recently just got over 1,000 staked HIVE and are able to start pushing efforts to vote on holders like previously mentioned, but we also want to put a focus on introducing people into the Hive ecosystem as well as earning HIVE rewards for our holders. So, initially we will focus 100% of HIVE rewards into our Hive Power until we are able to start claiming account creation tokens and then we will begin using a portion of the HIVE rewards to reward INDEX holders. We understand this may take some time, and that is no problem! We want to consistently build and that does take time! If you want to help out, you can delegate HP to the @he-index account!
Token Buys
We updated the token buy and sell bots preventing them from making multiple small purchases instead of a single large one. This helps clean up the number of transactions created by the account and simplifies the load our account has on Hive and Hive-Engine.
Low Value Tokens
The @he-index wallet has contained a number of low value tokens and we have taken action to either sell and reinvest those tokens or send them out to token holders as rewards. In the future, we may look at selling the token than just sending the SWAP.HIVE earned as rewards to token holders to better streamline the process and make it easier for holders.
APR Calculations
Because of the recent increases in quantities of indexed tokens being held, our APR calculators (which default to 365 days) show a lower APR than normal. We are looking at adding multiple APR numbers to the holdings page on the site to show 30, 90, 180, and 365 day APR calculations to give holders better understanding of how much each token is earning.
Graphics Designer
We are looking to spice up our posts with some graphics, but our team is not artistically inclined in any facet. So we are looking for someone to make some graphics for us!
