Negotiation starts on Monday, April 26, 2021
Coinbase Pro, a platform for traders at American brokerage Coinbase, started supporting stablecoin tether (USDT) on Thursday (22), as announced on the company's blog. Starting next week, with the exception of New York State, platform traders will be able to trade the token with bitcoin, ethereum, euro, dollar, pound sterling, and also with the stablecoin USD coin. The pair negotiations with the tether, however, should only start at 6 pm Pacific time - which is four hours less than Brasilia time - next Monday (26th). This, says the exchange, "if liquidity conditions are met". Once sufficient supply of USDT is established on the platform, holders of stablecoin will be able to trade it in the following pairs: bitcoin / tether (BTC / USDT); ethereum / tether (ETH / USDT); tether / euro (USDT / EUR); tether / pound sterling (USDT / GBP), tether / dollar (USDT / USD); and tether / USD coin (USDT / USDC). The company also noted that the platform only supports ERC-20 USDT running on the Ethereum blockchain.
