Do you see unusual activities in your account?

Did your Token and/or NFT suddenly decreased without knowing how and why?

Chances are, your account has been compromised or hacked!

The most common cause of getting hacked is when you click a link that leads to a Phishing Site.

Hackers use Phishing Sites to steal user data, including but not limited to login credentials, credit card numbers, and in our case, Seed Phrases and/or Private Keys. These phishing sites usually pretend or masquerade themselves as an official website of any trusted entities to gain the user’s trust. They usually offer freebies, discounts, and a lot of too-good-to-be-true offers.

HOW DO HACKERS ATTACK?

Their most common ways to attack are by sending emails, text messages, and private messages on different platforms such as but not limited to FB Messenger, Telegram, Twitter, and DISCORD containing links that lead to a phishing site. There are also sites that require you to connect before you can continue and once you are connected, they'll be able to access your data from there.

Hackers also pretend to be moderators, admins, staff, help support, or even developers and owners of the game or the sites to get the trust of their unsuspecting victim.

Hackers may also use malwares in order to take control of your computer's clipboard that will enable them to paste the hacker’s address, instead of your own.

HOW TO AVOID GETTING HACKED?

  1. NEVER give out your Seed Phrase/Private Keys - Any official mods, admins, help support and other staff of a game or a site will never ask for your seed phrase/private keys. Whoever you talk to, do not share this information.

  2. Only use the OFFICIAL channels or methods intended by the game or website for any transactions.

  3. Be wary of clicking links sent by random people.

  4. Avoid installing unfamiliar software and downloading suspicious files.

  5. Using third-party extensions should be done at your own risk. This extensions asks for permission to access your wallets.

Security is in your hands! Stay safe!
