Yes! I play as a farmer in dCrops, and it is so much fun! Enthusiasm every time I log in to this FarmVille kind of game. It is after all a farming simulation game where you get to harvest crops based on land which consists of NFTs. NFTs, what a beauty! You guessed right; this is a play to earn game.
However, let me show you how you can earn in this universe. The game and mechanics are explained in my previous post about dCrops, you can read it here: Dcrops intro. This time tough, I will rather show you how my NFTs look like and how you can earn by using them.
Look at the first picture below, what do you see? It is obvious that these two plots/lands are great! Yes, they are legendary. These are my best NFTs, and they are waiting to get harvested (green timer up in the right corner). Yes! We are talking about legendary on top of legendary! (Land and seed both legendary) That needs to be good right? It is, and over time these will earn me some big swinging HIVE tokens! You see, the more you harvest the more “power” you get and the more “power” you get, the more Hive tokens you will be able to earn. When you reach 20 000 power you start to earn you first passive Hive tokens, every single day! Go get some cards on Hive engine and start farming, lol!
Let’s look at my todays harvest - wheat. Nothing special about that, they are common, but if you look closer, I got a 3* harvest which count for more shares which then again counts for more crops (when sold) and which then again count for more Hive tokens received into my Hive wallet. Now that is awesome, just look:
As one can see I am starting to accumulate some 3* harvest crops in the below picture. Not rocket science: the more 3* I harvest the more I earn over time:
I am also starting to accumulate some items from my daily quests on dCrops. This is generally generated for completing the seasons quest which will last for approx. 14 days. You get 10 random reward items for the season chest. The latter is quite good and are starting to replicate the success of Splinterlands reward chests.
What do you get from the chests?
Three different items which can be used to boost your harvest.
Mystery Seed: which basically transform into a seed within the season you play. You can even get a legendary seed from the mystery seed so I bet this will be expensive in the future.
Speed-Gro: Standard in game item that reduces the time it requires to harvest a seed with everything from 10-50%. This is favoring lands; it means it will boost your land in terms of seeds to mature.
Ferti-Plus: That is a new term to me, but it is all about drop chance. Doubles your chances to get more crops upon harvesting your seed.
Worth mention is that dCrops plans to release NFTs as rewards in chests in the future – Splinterlands here we come! I have also seen that they plan to introduce more seeds, and other mechanism to the game, but that will not be implemented until the next edition labeled “BETA”. Stay tuned for that, it can be quiet amusing to try out when it is released. This is so exciting, looking forward to the latter!
