Onchain Together, Benefit Together - Optimism 5th Token Share

in #leofinance3 days ago

Optimism is a Layer-2 scaling solution that derives its’s name from its underlying technology, the Optimistic Rollup. The Optimism Network brings fast and cheap, while maintaining the primary security of the Ethereum network.

Basically Optimism is scaled Ethereum with low-cost lightning-fast transactions. Since launch, the team worked hard to create a super-chain that will simplify the user's experience. The focus on building was reflected by the $OP airdrops and on-going support towards the evolution of the crypto ecosystem.

Back in 2022 I was eligible for the first $OP airdrop because my on-chain activity was recognized and appreciated. I claimed 271.83 tokens and delegated them to a validator. The $OP price was only $0.84 and I decided to HODL!

The Optimism Collective implemented a new model to fund public goods, as communities, companies, and citizens are united in a positive synergy that will help all parties to improve and earn. This Collective is governed by the Token House and the Citizens House, both parts with equal rights and power.

The harmony between the Token House and the Citizens House will enable a collaborative ecosystem to grow and flourish on Optimism. Claiming the airdrop and delegating the voting power is part of the governance, as the delegate will use the voting power in the holder's best interest.

It was proven that HODL and delegating was a good idea, when 11,700,000 $OP tokens were shared to over 300,000 unique wallets! The 2nd $OP airdrop took place in February 2023, and focused on rewarding positive-sum governance participation and power the Optimism Mainnet users.

The $OP Airdrop #2 didn't required a claiming process, as the tokens were sent straight into the wallets of the users that delegated their tokens. I was smart not to sell and I was even smarter to delegate my $OP tokens. No idea about my multipliers and bonuses but I was happy to find 133.9 $OP tokens in my wallet!

Since then I got drained after I interacted with a malicious UI, and Optimism had two more airdrops. I wasn't eligible for those, as they had a focus on builders and creators.

I watched Optimism expanding the Superchain, and explored chains like Cyber, Zora, Lisk through Across! They've made bridging around the Superchain so easy! My admiration for Optimism grew bigger when they announced the 5th $OP airdrop, to reward the Superchain users!

The main eligibility criteria was simple, and those that interacted with at least 20 unique contracts on the Superchain got a slice of the allocation. There were other bonus criteria, and I think I ticked a lot of boxes!

I didn't had 9,000 $OP delegated but I I've definitely done at least 10 transactions per week in at least 20 weeks prior the snapshot. Did I do at least one app transaction on at least seven chains in the Superchain? Maybe!

Superchain Explorer, Early Superchain Adopter or Quester? I think I've made at least 1 app transaction on at least three chains in the first week after the public launch, and I am confident I've done at least one Optimism quest.

Superfest participants also got extra allocation if they participated in at least 5 missions! I participated in a few missions on Jumper, and hustled a bit during the Superfest, and with all the things brought together... I claimed my big stash of $OP! Received 589.47 tokens, and I have to say thank you for Across, Velodrome and PoolTogether for the help!
