It seems that the Spanish government has approved an endowment of 40,000 million euros dedicated to freelancers and small, medium, and micro-sectors of bars and restaurants, and aesthetics and beauty.
The objective is to reduce economic losses as a result of last Friday's closing. It will also offer aid up to 1,500 euros per month. Without ruling out, the option to accumulate new loan credit that will depend on the autonomous community and the circumstances of COVID-19.
Goodbye to the taverns
On the other hand, the Executive Council has approved a decree of law that empowers the business owners to initiate a negotiation with the property owners to establish, by mutual agreement, a reduction in the monthly payment. To the tenants of said commercial businesses closed or with a 50% reduction in the capacity of the premises, due to the security regulations established by the COVID-19 pandemic, you can renegotiate the rental price with the owner of the property.
If the agreement between the party is impossible, the new rule establishes that the amount of closed or partially closed businesses will be automatically reduced to 50%. This measure that comes into force will apply to bars, restaurants, aesthetic and beauty businesses, gyms, and businesses related to leisure and gaming such as casinos or toy libraries, theaters, hotels, etc.
If the business has to reduce half of the capacity to 50%, of which the part of the 50% remains that is restricted by sanitary measures and cannot get a profit, regulations must be applied. Of which, the cost of the restricted part will be cut in half.
How does this rule affect the sale of the takeaway product?🙄
To all those who offer a product for sale to take away or pick up such as restaurants and bars, the regulations say that it will not be taken into account to access the rent reduction,
Unless a said business is temporarily closed to hold on to the full 50% rebate. As for the small owners, the government has said that it will "study" if it also gives them help. (These will be stabbed first).
I wonder what exactly the government has to study?
Nobody wants to accumulate more debt than they already have. Many of the sectors of these businesses have not yet finished paying debts that they accumulated regarding the real estate crisis.
And others will join this car before the end of the year.
