The past 2 days in Lugano (Switzerland) there was an event called Lugano Plan B where Bitcoiners from all over the world meet to discuss and share ideas.
I have yet to watch the panels and presentations of this event (I hope they post them). Among the presentations there was one from Paolo Ardoino, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thether (USDT). I don't know the details of the presentation but there's an image that has been circulating in twitter. Here you have it:
Tether CEO confirms their reserves hold a total of 82,454 BTC and 48.3 tons of gold.
This is HUGE!!
They hodl a lot of Bitcoin and Gold, and they are prepared for turbulences and fiat debasement. They have a lot of hard assets that will appreciate over time, specially in periods of high inflation.
I would like to go to this event next year. I would love to visit Lugano!
Lugano is a Bitcoin friendly city with some initiatives to promote Bitcoin. I assume that some of the sponsorships and initiatives are being funded by Tether (USDT) and Paolo Ardoino that is living there.
