Basket of 15 Cryptos as of 13/06/2023
It's been an interesting week. With the news going around about Binance, I decided to move our funds off-exchange to a wallet. While doing this, I dumped STX and replaced it with QNT. I have keep all our crypto to their native chains so it costs almost $90 in transaction fees because we hold a few ECR-20 tokens in our basket.
Because I've moved the basket of crypto and it is no longer being auto-rebalanced. This will have to done manually by me instead and we can already see how the above looks different compared to every other week. BNB is down 15% for the week and BTC has performed the best. If our funds were still on Binance, it would have sold BTC to buy BNB but right at this time, that might not be a great idea.
The tokens estimated value has dropped this week, this is because everything has dropped this week but HIVE bounced back yesterday and has actually outperformed a few tokens in our basket. The cost to move all the cryptos factors in as well. Overall, we are still winning.
Big drop this week in HIVE value, down 1208 HIVE from last week. It's all good and we will have weeks like that. It's not every often that we have these big weekly dips in crypto of 10%+ over a week. From day to day yes, but from week to week, not that often. Hmmm, overall, we are still winning.
Round Up
So... I have pulled all our cryptos from Binance. I personally think Binance will be ok and it's going to take years before they settle anything but your money is not my money and I need to safeguard it as best I can. (I have a 100% record 😏), plus holding crypto on any exchange mid to long term is a bad idea and could get you wrecked.
Big drop in value this week but lots of time to make up for it. And lastly, if FANTOM can not regain a top 50 spot within 2 weeks, it will be dumped and replaced. Im thinking of FILECOIN but I need to research it a little more.
