A Russian satellite in Earth's orbit was shattered in orbit, causing an emergency evacuation of nine astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS).

According to NASA's official announcement on the 28th (local time), more than 100 fragments were scattered in all directions when a Russian satellite broke down near the ISS on the 26th.
The astronauts staying on the ISS decided to evacuate as they believed the debris could damage the ISS. The evacuation took place for about an hour, and the astronauts evacuated three spaceships that were docked on the ISS, including Boeing's Starliner. Fortunately, neither the ISS nor astronauts were reportedly damaged by the debris from the Russian satellite.

NASA said, "This (evacuation) measure was a precautionary measure and there was no damage. The ISS is currently operating normally after the astronauts evacuated for about an hour."
NASA did not directly mention that the cause of the accident was a Russian satellite, but more attention was paid to the accident as U.S. satellite monitoring company Leo Labs claimed that the satellite that caused the accident was launched by Russia.

An incident that reminds me of the movie Gravity was taking place in space.

It's not dangerous right now, but,
It seems that there is enough possibility that many satellites floating in Earth's orbit will be a problem.

It's not easy for each country to launch satellites, and for those satellites to end their lives and launch new satellites
It's repeating itself, so I think the trajectory may be full soon.

I hope this will be done before it's too late to discuss it and a solution will come out.
