Fast forward twenty years later; Eastside High has plummeted from its esteemed heights to being labeled a "cauldron of violence." The school's physical state has deteriorated, with walls stained and hallways teeming with bullying, disregard for authority, and rampant delinquency. The students struggle to meet basic academic requirements, a predicament that deeply concerns Mayor Bottman, who fears losing the school to state control might jeopardize his political career.
