Part 3/7:
Following the accident, Ko’s struggles multiply when Internal Affairs discover substantial bribe money within his squad, leading to a serious threat to their careers. Ko resists the pressure from his colleagues who want him to take the fall, fueling an internal conflict between loyalty to his squad and self-preservation. Torn between mourning and evading justice, Ko returns to the funeral where he conjures a desperate plan to hide the body of the man he killed by creatively using the vent system, balloons, and even a toy soldier. The cleverness of Ko’s tactics does little to alleviate the weight on his conscience but serves to deepen the stakes of his predicament.
