Part 2/8:
The film opens with John Brennan in a frantic state, driving late at night with a dying man in his passenger seat. Flashbacks reveal the tragedy that began three years prior. John’s life was once idyllic, filled with family moments with Lara and their son Luke. However, everything changes when Lara, after a routine insulin injection, becomes embroiled in a murder charge following a police raid on their home. Despite John’s belief in her innocence, Lara is convicted and sentenced to life in prison, forcing John to take on the daunting task of raising their son alone.
