Well, to be honest, my career path deviated from engineering. Nowadays, I work in project management in the tech industry. But that was only because an opportunity presented itself and I decided to give it a shot. I enjoyed studying engineering and I don't regret it.

I think there will always be a place for a competent engineer because in essence, an engineer really is a problem solver and there will be no shortage of problems to solve, ever.

I am also interested with project management and accounting. I don't think I will use my degree on my future career but who knows?

If you go the Project Management route, having accounting knowledge will be a great fit! I had to learn the hard way that projects are not only about delivering, but there is a whole financial layer that can be very complicated if you don't have the right skills.

Having an engineering degree is always a good thing. Many job opening accept engineers, even if the actual job is not directly related to engineering. A lot of project managers I know are engineers :)

That sounds promising for how many years are you as a project manager?

Well, yeah, engineers should have skills when it comes to project management.

Do you know any course to learn from about project management?

10 years! It's been a while hhehehe

I don't know about specific courses but there are many online. If you want introductory courses you can look for preparation courses for CAPM certification. That's an entry level Project Management Certification so the course for it will be a basic one.

If later on you want more advanced stuff, you can look for PMP Certification preparation courses. That is one of the most recognized Project Management certifications.

But in the future, keep in mind that project Management is a very broad topic, and depending on the industry you end up working in, there may be courses and certifications that are more specific to it.

I'm around if you have any questions about that, just hit me up

Oh 10 years is not a joke! Are you working from home (freelancing) or you have an on site company?

Thank you for the advice, I will bookmark this one and go back when I will start studying about it.

Do you have a Discord account? Maybe we should add each other what do you think?

Hey, sorry for the delay! Got very busy yesterday

And sure, I'm tokenizedsociety on Discord. Feel free to add me!

Oh, and to answer your question, I am working from home but not as a freelancer. My employer allows everyone to work from home because we are in the tech industry, which means, 99% of our work is on the digital realm so there is no need to be on site most of the time
