Our generation has seen everything Task. xD
But they keep surprising us with new stuff.
The last 40 years did see a massive shift in technology.
Can you imagine what will emerge over the next 40?
I am sure humans will start living outside Earth.
What else?
I think we have to look at:
Those that four areas that could be huge. In 40 year, labor might be near free.
wild times ahead 🚀
Without a doubt. Makes me wish I was 20 years younger. Well I wish that for a lot of reasons.
with you, but only physically, please 😉
Do I remember? Ha!
I even keep one in my garage
In the US, the major maker of them was Bell Labs.
Was it the same over there?
No way ! We were living behind the "IRON CURTAIN".
Everything was "Made in USSR".
And I mean - EVERYTHING 100.00%
Yeah. Certainly was a different era.
Oh yea
I didn't use them much but I enjoyed playing with the wheel as a kid
It was a pain in the ass when someone had a 9 in their number (or lots of them).
hahaha yea!
someone in my family has a number that starts with 9998
would be a pain to dial in those days
Yeah it would have been.
I remember when we first moved into the house I grew up in, the last 4 digits was all that was needed when placing a local call.
those were the days of phone chains 🖖🏼☀️🤙🏼
Yes. Used them for a while over 2 decades ago.. So much have changed indeed. Now, one can just say a word and today's smart phone will dial by itself.
In the next 10 years, you might think the word and a call will take place.
The biggest change to me represents the "paper tables" I used to calculate my photo camera's aperture and shutter speed, in comparison to Samsung's S23 ULTRA, 4-lens/200 Mpix & quadrillion of filters/tricks/trims/capacity/etc/etc...
I am not an expert at photography but I do know we came a long way from this.
This was my 2nd cam, with 6x9 prints. Cool.

My first camera was this, LIUBITEL
( I know soviets used to make copies from some west world models)
60x60 mm film, 12 photos on one film roll. Year 1961
Exactly !
