Here is a thread #container to discuss all the things we like with threads, what to expect, what we want to see, and whatever else comes to mind.

How about 4 specific tags that will determine how the "live update" is default sorted for a thread. #sorlatest #soroldest #sorvotes #sorreplies. This way the thread creator has more creative control.
That's a really cool idea. We definitely could do something like that. Possibly even add it somewhere like here as a menu:
We fixed the issue with the feeds crashing last night. Huge infrastructure bug that caused feeds to crash due to #hive nodes rate limiting us
Now we're all good and btw we split LEO's activities to pretty much all Hive nodes to reduce load
building one step at time
When will the Leo node be operational.
I love that Threads allow me to join without too much context, share my thoughts and then go back to work, no need to spend 15 mins reading a post, 5 mins thinking of my reply and 3 minutes writing it.
I can just come, say GM and leave.
I understand. Thinking is hard.
It is kind of like math.
yeah
GM and GN ser 🦁
😄
came 4 the threads, stayed for the GMs
Leo makes everything easy
Lets get this to over 100 comments.
Let's do it!
let's go
The target goal should be 1 million pageviews per day for Leo. This is going to be led by threads.
I agree. It will be super important
It might be time for another pageview post from me.
Get people thinking in that direction.
this is achievable and I believe Leo is already innit path
The update to LeoCache is a game changer. This is where we are seeing something that will massive affect Hive.
Real-time engagement is something I think Hive always lacked. I have so much fun when we do it on threads now that its possible
Yes I agree that real engagement is the treasure of leothreads platform. It's like blessing.
100%
Still need a few more filtering features but it is heading in the right direction.
This makes Hive more of a social media
I love the leocache because of the live update, smooth and easy
Threadcasts are a major part of this. Can you imagine what it will be like to have 4 or 5 threadcasts per day?
That will really change the engagement in a big way. Hopefully the showing at HiveFest really affects things.
We need to get any and all #hive broadcasts doing #threadcasts. So much untapped potential
Also, we are working with our DHF proposal to get some non-hive broadcasts to start doing them. This will be huge
that craze, imagine having a threadcast of hivefest here on Leo and sharing all the event here
Do pageviews on Labs get counted or is it only on the production site?
Only production
This thread has 24 views but no ads. Which ad system is paying more so far? The old one or the new one with the ad that looks like a thread.
We're testing both, the old one is banner ads and new is affiliate ads. It's hard to tell atm because affiliate ads take longer to see results
A few ideas on non-AdRevenue:
My only concern is that these could be engage2mint NFT powers as well
Disagree with the burn to mute. That should be free. You might be forcing poor people to read racist or troll posters.
Burning is a stupid idea. That doesnt promote growth, just toying with tokenmics.
That doesnt generate revenue.
I don't think it's totally stupid. Both have their trade-offs
Burning makes it more democratized. Revenue is more helpful as a business
But at the end of the day, the idea is the same: create more utility for spending $LEO
Yeah but the burn is revenue for leo, not for null, maybe burn is not the word
Ah ok. I thought you meant to send to null. You are simply saying to charge for the feature.
i think it would be a good idea to have the option to expand the Publish UI to fullscreen. like clicking Expand would stretch the content and preview to the whole UI, essentially hiding the left hand menu.
Hmmm interesting idea. I've added it to the Dev100 list - I think it can be easily accomplished and I do want to make the /publish UI a lot better
yeah saw someone complain the other day that the publish UI was too cramped. it is a bit tight. maybe something that could be under "Accessibility" in settings.
interesting yeah I’ve put it on the list. I’ll see what we can come up with! Thanks for the suggestion
Of a focus mode, 100% support this
focus mode would be killer
Especially for reader mode
I like the bookmark feature but they are still disappearing on me sometimes.
This is on the Dev100 list. With the new LeoCache iteration, we'll be able to make bookmarks not disappear until you x them out and also make them cross-device compatible
I really need to come up with a better name for container.
There has to be something that we can assign like threadcast.
I will think on this but all ideas are welcome.
Maybe wait for the rebrand & new name? Then we'll come up with something that resonates with that
Maybe although I am sure it is not relevant. Like threadcast, it fits no matter what the name. But you are right, it doesnt hurt.
A Threadscussion
That is what happens to you when you thread during one of @anomadsoul's campaigns.
People thread so much they get a threadcussion. It is best to drink water, lie down, and not engage in contact sports.
I always get confused which way is the live update and which is off.
Any ideas.
it’s auto-disabled, so click it once and it’s enabled
If you go on labs, there’s a new update where it shows a “disabled” icon and it’s obvious. Will be deploy to production with the next round of updates
Can we also get where the decision is locked in. When I click on a thread to answer and go back, the oldest is showing first along with the live update disabled.
Plesae create a small box in the right hand sidebar for showing "Upcoming threadcast" with the thread link. I'll design a UI mockup for you to inspire.
#feedback
This isnt exactly a threadcast since there is no broadcast but you are right. We do need some type of scheduler for threadcasts so people are aware of them.
this is on the dev100 list, soon!
i love this idea
Does anyone have any revenue ideas for Threads/Leo UI outside of Ad Revenue?
I've been musing on a few related to OnlyLEOs, Premium Content, Promoted Content, etc. and I love hearing new ideas
Anything to drive utility to $LEO
Build out financial services, especially lending. This can be used to generate fees while putting $LEO and other tokens to work. Leo takes a piece of the action.
Definitely on the table. We've built LeoFi which is a MVP for some of this stuff but I have a lot more ideas
bHBD is going to make a big return. Been really hard working on the bridges but also a great source of revenue
Yes. The derivatives of HBD are required. We need to get soemthing on Spk/VSC when that is set up.
But finance is the grand puba of all this.
Built a shop. Bring commerce to Hive in a big way.
Leo-a-zon.
Of course, Leo takes a piece of the activity.
Yes, lot of ideas in this space, I should write a post. For starters, Videos cost bandwidth, charge premium for vids over 1GB, vids over 10 min and other perks that cost you from infrastructure side. #feedback
Maybe more of a visibility idea but start hosting weekly Splinterlands events!
I know it's a small scale but entry fees can get you at least even while getting good visibility among the Splinterlands players.
We are also building:
These 3 (mainly first 2) are key pieces of infrastructure to scale us to 10k+ monthly active users
Is H-E a good use of resources?
that is good, good tonkkoe you are making progress
The thing about threads is it comes down to simple math.
If we can get the pageviews up, due to an increase in users and those here doing more on the site, we will have a lot of revenue coming in.
Adding media, i.e. a broadcast viewer to the threadcast, will be huge. This is going to turn threadcasts into a dual purpose mechanism. It matters none where the feed comes from if we are on leo watching.
This is gonna kick butt. I'm kinda wishing more partnerships like with Army of Crypto, would be cool to watch game streams on threads while commenting.
It opens a host of possibilities that most are not even thinking about.
This could be a boom to gamers.
Definitely. Of course people can watch it on Youtube or on Twitch but can they earn while doing so? :)
Leothreads is amazing. I got to know about leothreads so late. I wish I could catch it in early times. Micro-blogging allow us to interact more effectively. Here short posts are amazing to encode information just in few words.
How about a separate LEO faucet pool. I mean people do BTC faucets and they pay NOTHING. How about people get a tiny LEO drip if they visit or thread at leofinance at least once a day? Might help with retention.
