Engagement is really undervalued on Steemit and many users don't even bother commenting and engaging in conversation with others as they are too concentrated on posting to make money.
That's why I started this series where I would like to encourage you to engage and reward you for it. We will talk about a wide variety of different subjects and you can even suggest your own if you want.
Today's subject are cryptos ofc :)
Q: What coins do you currently HODL and why?
Q:What coins do you want to buy next?
Q: What do you want to achieve with your crypto investments?
A: STEEM, Verge, Colossus and Bitshares
Steem because I believe it's the future of social media and will revolutionize the way we spend our time online.
Verge for short term gains (will cash out back in Steem when I reach a target price).
Colossus is really undervalued and can't be found on any major exchanges but will be listed on a couple big exchanges soon so I'm expecting a short term profit (1-3 months) again will return the profits into Steem.
Bitshares I'm hodling long term because I think it will go sky high as people recognize the dangers of centralized exchanges and move to decentralized ones.
A: EOS,NEO and Cardano for long term hodling.
A: Financial freedom.
I'm interested to see what you think and what you are up to in the crypto world! Looking forward for your answers and some chit-chat!
Every comment will be rewarded but abusers will be flagged out of existence so beware!
What crypto I HODL?
A:I was holding digibyte after it flew away in the air. it is gone now after withdrawing it from polo to bittrex today and still my bittrex digibyte wallet is empty. I am holding steem too.
What Coins I want tp buy next?
A: I wabt to buy siacoin and smartcash
What do I want to achieve with my crypto investment?
A: What I want to achieve is to have enough money to proprose to my girlfriend have enough money for the wedding and for our future family.
Though I am so down right now because my digibyte almost worth $300 is gone.
I am looking for someone to talk to lessen my sadness.
Sad to hear that man, hope you recover fast.
Smartcash is a very good idea, I was looking at it a month ago when it was 5 cents and didn't have the funds to invest, will probably take some when it corrects as it's about 40 cents now.
Wish you the best of luck.
thank you so much, They send me an email and they will look forward to it, said polo.
Funds is the problem of anyone I guess.. I wish you good luck too.
Hope everything works out fine and they refund your losses.
Oh dear, take heart. You'll recover more than that $300 and you'll still get your girl. Keep on keeping on
thank you do much, i really appreciate it you are right I still have my girlfrien but the proposal will be delayed.
A: I HODL Steem in the form of Steem Power and that's really all. I haven't ever gotten any coins including even Bitcoin. This week I think I'll try and make my first withdrawal into fiat to see how it goes and to see my first profit from being active on the steem blockchain. Before that all my SBDs from posts that were not powered up by default went on to buy me Steem. I especially loved the period when SBDs were skyrocketing and Steem hadn't caught up because I was getting a lot of Steem.
A: Something easy to convert to fiat and that's probably all it's going to be - a way to take out a bit of income from here. I'm not interested in most other coins as I don't really see what utility they provide besides being an investment or something to speculate with. Steem is different because there is something to do on the blockchain - post and vote. To me that's something real and I'd rather keep my crypto portfolio concentrated into Steem Power that allows me to reward content I enjoy here and that allows me to be a productive member of the ecosystem.
A: I want to post and learn on the Steem blockchain and I want to keep meeting wonderful and interesting people. On top of that I want to grow my Steem Power while only taking a bit of profit from time to time to supplement my income. The best case scenario I am certainly not betting on is to be able to be making a full living from steem without destroying my steem power assets. Living in a country that is not too expensive makes that a bit more achievable.
To convert to fiat with minimum losses my tip is to go to a big exchange like Bittrex and buy anything other than BTC that you can in your country convert to fiat. Because BTC fees are going crazy and cost as much as 50$.
There is much utility in coins you just have do discover them, learn what they are about and if the problem they are trying to solve is worth investing money in. There are some really interesting coins out there :)
But Steem is also my facourite and I see the greatest potential in Steem. I said it a couple of times already and I'll keep saying it untill it happens. Steem is going to be 100$ soon, by the end of the year maybe.
But the price is the least exciting thing about Steemit when you start learning about the steem blockchain and the abilities it has to offer.
I'm exactly the same man! From day one my plan was to get as much SP until one day I could make a living on it. I only power up and plan on keep doing it forever. I also said to myself that I wont touch my SP for the next 10 years so... I'm here for the long run :) But with the recent price increases with SBD I decided to cash out some and reward myself for the 6 months of effort I put in Steemit.
Where do you live? I'm also from a low budget country, Croatia.
Thank you for the insightful answer and advice. $100 Steem would be absolutely crazy, I would love that for sure! For now I think it's safe to say that it's going to stay over $5 and is probably going to break $10 relatively soon. But we'll see when :) I live in a country that's in a similar bracket with yours but still a bit cheaper - Bulgaria.
On one hand, I know there are certainly other coins of value, on the other hand, I'm not sure I have the patience to research them while I have something that really fits me like Steem. I don't fancy myself a person with trader potential so I would rather keep it safe and simple. Still, if I had dug up into coins earlier, I would know more about converting a bit of steem into fiat and would have a bittrex account since they are not currently accepting new signups.
Exactly my thoughts.
Then go for PoS coions. PoS allows you to stake your coins to mine instead of buying hardware to do it.
Smartcash is a good option as it pays out 5-7% per month if you got more than 1000 SMART in your wallet and that's pretty nice + it has a big potential to grow as a currency.
Another good PoS coin is ColossusCoinXT I wrote about couple of days ago and its only 1.5 cents per coin :)
So you just get the coins and wait a year or two, come back and see the coins up 500x and you stacked up some nice passive profits from PoS alone :)
Bittrex isn't accepting new accounts any more? Just don't go to Poloniex as they were having a hard time paying out people that transfered steem/SBD there.
Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it.
Yes, Bittrex stopped accepting signups in December. It was a very unpleasant surprise now when I registered. The way I see it, since Poloniex is so unreliable, I have only two options - blocktrades and Bulgarian steemians looking to power up with cash. I'll have to figure something out.
Try finding Bulgarians to exchange as blocktrades takes about 5% or more in fees
Well, fees are everywhere, I'll surely have to pay some or make the person willing to trade for cash at least a bit of discount.
Currently, I am holding Bitshares, Siacoin, and Dash. I will sell dash and buy Bitshares. I also think that BTS will perform better in the long run. For short-term gain, I bought REDD.
I will buy more and more BTS. I will buy Quantstamp as I get the fund. For long term I think BTS, NEO, EOS, and ARDR.
My goal is also to achieve financial freedom. I am not from the crypto background. So every day I am learning something new. developing Knowledge and achieve Financial Freedom is my goal
Great picks. Keep stacking that BTS and hold it for a while because people will eventually realize the risks of centralized exchanges and move to Bitshares.
Hope you achieve it, best of luck man!
May be four months back, I bought 11 BTS for 1 SBD just for checking :) A Few days ago, I bought more. I will continue to buy. Let's see. Thank you and Best of luck
Good call. Also try getting more steem as it will shoot up soon. Happy stacking my friend!
I'm holding Steem, Ripple, Verge, and ReddCoin. I am currently researching Burst, DigiByte, and Siacoin. I'm enjoying all the comments as well, thanks for the post and engaging the community!
On a side note, I'm blogging about trying to raise funds on Steemit for my dog's back surgery, would be awesome if you could take a look and resteem or vote, thanks @runicar!

Check SmasrtCash, ColossusCoinXT and other PoS coins as they give a nice passive income from just holding the coins in your wallet.
Sad to hear that about your dog, upvoted, hope it helps.
Cheers!
Thanks so much @runicar for the tips and for the kind thoughts for Flop!
Nxt: it was a buy with no research, the participants on hitbtc trollbox kept urging pple to buy it.
Eth: I sold off DIM agianst eth coz it was falling so badly in btc and i was confused.
Emc2: the only coin i made research on and felt was a good buy d buy, especially since it was already down after 2 spikes. No profit yet though.
Steem: Its the rewards i've gotten so far from steemit.
I'm in dire need of an analysis lesson!
Never buy in hype when the price is high, that seems to be your major problem. Also never sell when you are loosing, just wait and it will eventually go up. With selling you are throwing that opportunity of getting your money back straight out the window.
Get some coins that you like for the technological solutions they have to offer. To me EOS and NEO are best long term holders currently.
EOS is the future of blockchain and NEO has great potential and allows you to earn interest on PoS
Yeah, you're absolutely right. Thank you very much. I'll be more careful next time.
Q: What coins do you currently HODL and why?
My brother and I bought bunch of coins like XRP, ENJ, XML, XEM last year and we currently HODL them. We're pretty dumb that's why we bought some "cheap" coins under 1 dollar that were positively mentioned or talked about on Reddit.
Q:What coins do you want to buy next?
We want to buy low cap coins like Hedge. I saw people say good things about it.
Q: What do you want to achieve with your crypto investments?
Just wait and see, we're gonna become millionaires out of our initial investment of a whole lot of 400$! On a serious note, we want to buy rental property.
You weren't dumb as you were smart enough to HODL and it's paying out! Keep doing so :)
Heard of SmartCash and PoS coins? They would be perfect for you as you like to hodl.
Good idea, wish you much success.
Thank you for the encouragement and coin suggestions, appreciate it! I like me some dividends. Will look into these coins. (^ω^)
I only hold a small bit of ltc at the moment, besides the tiny bits of steemit and steem dollar. I really do think steem is going to do very well too. How can steem drop? I can only see it going up, overall.
@runicar I currently hold ripple, neo, LTC, eth, bnb
I have bitcoin, etherium, bitconnect coin in my portfolio.
@runicar I currently hold ripple, neo, eth, bnb and thank you for the post and good luck
thank you post useful for me
