Hello fellow hive gamers,
I'll start off by introducing the character @curbiegal created.
So last time we had just finished broadcasting our location to some bandits that we intimidated into giving us the location of their hideout. We then went to report our progress to dutchess. After we did that mort had told us about some people who had some information to make things easier.
They were conveniently located along the path to the bandit camp far to the north, so curbie and I cooked up some food and drink, then fast traveled to a farm a little bit to the north that we had discovered last session.
Once we got there we talked to the guy, who struck a deal to give us some supplies once we cleared out the lumber yard the bandits occupied. He also did not want us here and constantly told us to leave, so naturally we loot the house have a nap and play the banjo sitting on the porch before we headed out. We headed north for a while and came up to our next location a fair ground.
We head on down the hill and started to slay some scorched, when this thick green fog rolls in. Not sure if the fog was supposed to affect us or not, I didn't notice anything but it looked pretty cool wish I took a picture of it. Anyways at some point we got a side quest to find a mr jangles, who we thought was a person. It was actually a stuffed monkey haha, we had spend a good while looking around for the monkey lol. After we finally found it we went and talked to the guy mort had told us about, he gave us a quest to fetch a deathclaw egg from a nearby island. After retrieving the egg, which was surprisingly easy, as there was no enemy's on deathclaw island. He gave us a few stealth boys, they make you invisible for a little while.
We then set out north to the lumber yard to deal with these bandits.once we reached the lumber yard, it was surprisingly easy to get in to see the boss, we got a password at somepoint. I missed when we got it, I'm assuming it was from one of the guys mort told us about. But once we gave the password we just waltzed right in, looted everything we saw right up to the boss. I even found a power armor along the way. We talked to him then we killed him, it was wierd he just stood in spot and took it. Once he died all hell broke loose, the other guys in the room started firing at us. It was a tough fight on the way out, since we looted everything we were overencombered so our AP drained just by moving. Once drained we moved extremely slow.but we eventually fought our way out and set up our camp outside the lumber yard to unload our hard earned loot.
Afterwords we decided to see what the key we found early in the first session opens up. It was a side quest nearby, it ended up bringing us to vault 51. Or so we thought. The enemies in here were level 35, We were level 8. So we immediately turned around and left, we then noticed the quest was actually a hatch nearby. Once inside we found a robot who told us we get a free shelter after we sign up on the computer nearby. After doing that we saw the chest that the key opened up, got a few items and a password for come files on the computer.
After that fiasco we decided to head south and explore a bit. We came up to a farm with a few buildings and some silos. After clearing out the farm and looting it we discovered a Shack by the silos that housed a power armor for my partner curbie. We then went back to camp to unload and turn in for the night.
