SF Pride has been happening annually since 1970
The Rainbow Flag was invented at a San Francisco Pride event in 1978
Bill Clinton was the first president to issue a Pride month proclamation
There is also a Black Queer Pride day- serves queer people of color
Approximately 1 million children in the U.S. are being raised by same-sex couples
Same-sex marriage is legal in Belgium, Spain, Canada, South Africa, Norway, Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal, Iceland, and Argentina. In Mexico, same-sex marriage is legal (only in Mexico City).
Last year, was my first time in San Francisco and loved the rainbow flags!!!
The Rainbow Side Walk, I have only seen in Castro
Going to the Castro cinema is a "must do" if anyone is visiting San Francisco!
