RE: Non-Non-Discrimination Laws, What!?!?! Yep, you heard that right.

This social debate has reminded me of something I thought when I was a kid: Gendered bathrooms are kind of stupid in general. Single stalls especially, but even for communal bathrooms, it doesn't make total sense.

The best designed bathrooms I've seen are single stall sit-down toilets, just wide enough to fit a toilet with enough space on each side to not make you feel claustrophobic. These stalls were built with real walls instead of dividers and real doors with regular door handles. I believe the bar/restaurant that has/had them built about 8 of these. Just in front of the stall doors are the sinks. Now I believe the place had these gendered, with women's stalls on the left and men's on the right. However due to the design, I don't think many people would give a damn if someone used the "wrong" side.

Great point! The single stalls for anybody solve so many issues for everybody.
That is really cool though, I'd love to see that idea spread around! I bet having the shared sinks saved a ton on the cost.

The most single stalls I've ever seen were 2, one for each gender. Each with their own sink and what not all inside.

Thanks for reading! :)
