If you don't like war, it is true; the left is pro-war, eg Obama, Biden, Clinton, the right is pro-war (think Bush or Romney). The only major faction that stands against war now is the libertarians (Rand Paul, Justin Amash, Thomas Massie).
If income inequality bothers you, same prescription. Not only does war enrich the military/industrial complex at our expense but both left and right want to take our money and bail out poorly run banks and, particularly in the case of Obamacare, insurance companies.
If civil liberties is your issue, same thing. Both left and right think you have no right to privacy. The few libertarians in Congress have tried to shut down the NSA spying on Americans, opposed the worst provisions of the PATRIOT Act and opposed language in the NDAA that allows the president to order indefinite military detention of Americans without a trial.
Libertarians are individualist. I believe individualism is the ultimate antidote to racism or sexism or other isms. Viewing each person as an individual puts him or her in a category all their own, rather than a part of a demographic group to which common characteristics, either negative or positive, can be assigned.
