Her Right Foot (Chronicle, Ages 3-7) by Dave Eggers and Shawn Harris is a good looking, bright and engaging festival of the Statue of Liberty — and a gander at an astounding element of the gigantic make sense of that has looked over New York Harbor since 1886. Eggers' friendly, conversational account welcomes youthful perusers and audience members to envision the work that went into this great task. A century or so after the Declaration of Independence, a French educator, Édouard de Laboulaye, had making a landmark to the American accomplishment of freedom and majority rules system. The outcome — a goliath statue of a lady wearing overwhelming robes and a crown of beams and conveying a light and a book — was planned by another Frenchman, Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, who directed the development in France. Woman Liberty was initially amassed in Paris.
