In a civil society I should be free from men and women with Guns harassing and coercing me into doing things I would otherwise no way in Hell do on my own volition.

There's three witnesses standing right here beside you." -- As if their word would mean a damn in a court of law. They would probably find themselves in jail for contempt of court if they made it that far. But hey, the police just want to talk to him i.e. have him participate in an investigation against himself. Have fun with that. :-)
pretty much right! people are more often than not more than willing to hang themselves by blabbing to police when they should have kept their lips from flapping!
