The problem is that these folks aren't rabid. They're misled. Herds of rabid dogs don't stampede. These folks stampede. They're not serial killers rampaging, like a rabid dog. They're herd beasts, going where they're told by the leaders paid to mislead them.
Provide proper leadership and good cultural influences and you get eras like the '50s. Provide deranged, morally bankrupt, and sexually perverse leadership and cultural influences and you get today.
You reap what you sow.
Don't think that sowing whirlwinds won't produce an appropriate crop. Without plentiful members, societies languish, even go extinct.
The overlords intent on massive deaths, like Prince Phillip and whoever made the Georgia Guidestones, are deranged, morally bankrupt, and sexually perverse, and are intent on putting us all through hell. As long as they get to be kings in hell, they don't care.
Slaughtering sheep makes you their tool. That's what they want to happen.
Homo sapiens would figger out how to end their deranged leadership, and put things back on track sooner than later. That's what I recommend, and we should aspire to the least loss of life that is possible, so that the most robust and powerful society possible will be available after we get our shit together.
So, there's a better place to be than parked in front of cannon fodder with a cannon, and cannon fodder can better contribute to society than the ways they're being misled to. It's the misleaders that are the direct immediate source of the destruction of society, and resolving that problem enables cannon fodder to become useful members of a productive society.
This has happened before, you might note. The Weimar Republic became Nazi Germany in ~ten years. Act on that timescale and you'll find the rabble painting targets on their backs may well become allies against overlords instead of enemies. Today they're being coddled and bribed.
They won't be in a few years, and they won't like being betrayed anymore than you do. They'll be happy to stampede at the evil bastards that misled and betrayed them then.

I have no belief in the sanctity of human life just because someone got squirted out;people must provide at least no negative effect on humanity to be considered human in my book; obviously, children and the handicapped get a pass on this to a point
