LICENSE Rewards! Get 5% of VOUCHER and SPS Rewards for each LICENSETYC Token you buy!
When they announced the prices on licenses, we thought that many wouldn't be able to acquire them because, let's face it, we don't all have $2000 hanging around that we can spare on things that won't be used for so many months...
But we tried to think on how we could let the small investors also get their share of what we thought would become profitable and useful in the future.
That's how we came up with the community buy solution. The principle is simple. We split the cost of a license into 20 parts and once we gather enough of those parts, we buy the license as a group and distribute the rewards evenly to all shareholders.
How can I buy/get the LICENSETYC Token?
The price of a LICENSE is actually $1500 + 500 VOUCHERS. Next phase (or tranche as they call it) will be $2500 + 500 vouchers.
Since a LICENSETYC represents 5% of a LICENSE, the cost for getting our token is 1/20th the cost of the official Splinterlands LICENSE, which is 77 BUSD and 25 VOUCHERS (the extra 2 BUSD is used to cover fees to swap tokens into SPS, transfer from the BSC to HIVE Blockchain + market swings that could happen while doing these transactions)
We are asking that all payments be made in BUSD and VOUCHERS to help protect ourselves from any movement in the market.
BUSD has to be transferred on the BSC blockchain to 0x0398650D2E8adA225CCee47d7d019fc0Ab9c994A
VOUCHERS have to be sent on the HIVE blockchain to theyachtclub
Please keep a copy of your transactions.
You can contact the person in charge of the program, TYC - Blutengel (Blutengel78#4366) on the official Splinterlands discord.
I also just created a discord group for people that would like to talk about it in discord instead of private messages, but it's still brand new and feels kinda empty.

How does this work?
Once we buy the LICENSE, we distribute the LICENSETYC token to all people that paid for shares of the license. 1 token per share. Everyday, we distribute the rewards according to how many LICENSETYC tokens they have. One of our programmers made a simple tool that calculates automatically how many VOUCHERS are to be distributed and starts the process with the push of a button. We still have to confirm every transaction, but we are looking into making the process fully automated eventually.
On your end, you should see the rewards appear as "TYC_airdrop" coming from "theyachtclub" in your currency activity history on the official Splinterlands website.
Who is TYC?
Theyachtclub (TYC) is a group formed from the 4 best French guilds in Splinterlands. At first we were all in different guilds but we eventually got to know each other and decided that we could bring more to the community as a group, either in Splinterlands or any other crypto related project, targeting mainly P2E projects.
Can I sell my tokens if I don't want them anymore?
Yes, you can. You can either buy or sell those tokens on the market (tribaldex or hive-engine).
That means that the value of the token will also move with the value of the license itself because it will always represent 5% of a LICENSE.
What's in it for us?
We tried the project first by only offering the opportunity to our members. Since everything worked pretty well, we are now offering it to everyone playing or investing in Splinterlands.
TYC keeps 5% of the rewards to manage the LICENSES. That includes renting the servers and running the nodes, distributing the rewards VOUCHERS now and SPS in the future, plus any other things that you could think of that may need to be managed. The only thing you have to do once you have your token is enjoy the rewards.
We are all investors and players in the game and we also feel that the more LICENSES are sold, the more SPS is burned and the more value it will have in the end. By offering the opportunity to more people to get their share of the cake, we also help protect our investments in Splinterlands.
We also started making scholarships for Splinterlands to help spread the good news. Only 2 scholarships so far but we intend to make many more.
Any other questions?
I think we covered pretty much everything about the project but if you have any other questions, please feel free to comment here, or get in touch with us.
