Hi steemians, I hope everyone is doing fine, today i will be talking about the above mentioned topic " lies can be useful " I know you might be wondering why I said so, but I bet you will agree with me after reading.
Lie: i think the best definition of lie is " saying the opposite of reality " ie telling someone the opposite of what happened or what is happening, lie is a very punishable offence, Christians see it as a very big sin because a lier is untrustworthy, you can never get a truth from him. Christians believe that a lier is a child of Satan, but i think it depends on why you lie.
How lies can be useful: there are some lies you tell that can save danger, lies you tell for a good purpose, of which if you tell the truth you might be damaging something so the best to do is to tel lies and avoid misfortune.
For an instance, assassins came to your house asking of your brother and you know who they are and what they want to do and your brother is in the house, would you take the risk to say the truth "he is inside" or lie, ofcourse you know that if you say the truth your brother will be killed, but if you tell lie they might go away. And maybe your brother have done nothing to deserve death.
Fact: " he is inside " is the truth " he is not around " is a lie, a righteous man would say " he is not around " if he knows who they are and what they want, he might be telling a lie but the truth might be more sinful especially when his brother is innocent, because say the truth will make him take part in the death of his brother, as a righteous man he would later ask his brother some certain questions.
Am not saying that people should tell lies, ofcourse lie is a sin and cannot be justified even after telling lies for a good purpose, we should seek for forgiveness. All am saying is that it is better to tell lies to say dangers than to say truth and damage things
Thanks for reading
Partially agree
