how long have you been single?

Few days ago when I was scrolling on my messenger I ended up asking my friend on hows thier relationship status. Most of the answer" I'm still single". Out of curiosity I ask them why.
And here are some reason.

shes from 1 yr and 4 montsh long distance relationship. Because nothing last forever they decided freeing themselves. Suckkks ldr is more worst.
single for 1 yr and 5 months.
"Im happy and contented for what I have now, I'm still enjoying my life and still not ready for a commitment again."
Travelling now is her hobby.

Beverly

No boyfriend since birth
"Maybe because I still can't find my perfect match" "and study is my priority"
since high school she never put herself in a complicated situation. She don't want a disturbance while achieving her dream. And having a boyfriend is a burden.

7 years single
He stay single that long not because he's broke. actually he got one when he was in high school. They last 4 months. Yeah isn't it amazing??
His not even gay.
From him I receive this lame excuse. "I'm looking for a mature one." It make sense anyways.

How he live those years? Travel, works and sports.
Yes he s a traveller and a part time tour guide in one of the highest mountain in the Philippines, mount apo.
He has a stable job that need to be prioritized. Aside for his busy schedule he also have time for doing his sports. (triathlon, Marathon)
he don't have time for dating because it's a waste of time and

I don't know why. Maybe because I'm still not ready? Yeah I'm still not ready to open myself to somebody. How ironic this life is. when someone showing their affection, It's me who keep distance to them and still, I'm keeping my distance to them because I never imagine myself doing a girlfriends duties ehhhh. I don't want to be oa, I don't want to feel weak. Everyone's weakness is love though. They can be fool, they can cry, they can lower thier pride, they can't, they can't control themselves. and i don't want to. not now.
