Ahhh coffee! So many options and all of them so tasty!

Coffee has become an integral part of the lives of many people all around the world, but where did originate from?

The legends say that the person who discovered coffee was an Ethiopian farmer called Kaldi. One night, Kaldi watched his goats nibble on some red berries of a certain tree. The goats became highly energetic and ended up not sleeping that night. Kaldi, astounded, ate some of the berries himself and was overwhelmed by the feeling they gave him. Kaldi then brought some of these berries to an Islamic monk in the area. The monk disapproved of the berries and threw them into the fire, which made them roast and emit the wonderful smell of coffee. The intriguing smell made the monk gather the roasted berries from the fire, ground them up and dissolve them in hot water, thereby creating the first cup of coffee.

Coffee cultivation initially spread to the Arabian Peninsula, specifically in Yemen, by the 15th century. Coffee was known in Egypt, Syria, Persia and Turkey by the 16th century and coffee finally reached Europe in the 17th century.
