This post is very timely and appreciated! For me, it often takes seeing the misfortune of others to spark the gratitude in me for what I have. I have to see a homeless person to appreciate my home. Hopefully I will be able to train this to not need that trigger to be grateful. Thanks!
Thanks for the great reminder @acromott. I am grateful to be surrounded by a circle of wonderful friends. When I go through difficult times I can depend on them for support and wisdom.
Gratitude is not only for the good blessings you have in life, but also being grateful for the crosses you encounter in your life. Although they are hard at the time, the self building of the character and soul is worth it. I have learned this through the loss of my sweetheart when she died last December. Going through multiple extremes of emotions, I learned that grief is gratitude. Tears are gratitude as well. That lesson I will never forget. Thankfulness comes in many forms. Thanks for sharing.
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
Hebrews 13:5

Very good advice. At the moment I'm grateful for Steemit because I've met so many positive people who share their lives and advice with others in the community.
Other than that, my wife and my life.
Upvoted, resteemed and following to see what other advice you have to offer.
"Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” —Zig Ziglar
We are very grsteful to go as begin human and gratitude is one best emotion have human behaviour.
Thanks for shate such emotional and motivational post
All the things that we are grateful for should lead us to the question, who or what are we ultimately grateful TO. If we are grateful for our health, where has our healthy body come from? If we are grateful for friends and family, who/what made them? If we are grateful for technology, who/what made the person who gave birth to the person who invented the internet/Steemit etc? We live in a time where the term gratitude stops short of seeking the deeper ultimate truth and reality of all things. Where did the water that we drink come from? Where did the food that we enjoy come from? The colours around us, why do they appeal to our sight? The love of another, why does it comfort us? Gratitude should not stop at the perceived cause; we should think deeper than that.
Gratitude is where it's at! The more gratitude we have for the things that we already have the MORE that we will be in tune with the abundance of the Universe. Good post!
Thanks for shining this abundant light @acromott. So appreciate you speaking this truth in a space where what we have is so easily taken for granted. Thank you for appreciating the air we breathe, the ground beneath our feet, and the abundance of the life we have. You're right, the internet is a huge gift.
I'll read this post everyday till I have this in my head. I have everything I want in life, but still gotta this feeling of needing more and more all the time...

I think it takes a lot of work. It's so easy to get distracted by our daily routine. It is a constant practice for me too.
