I have a day off today so I thought I would share an interest of mine.
It is a mysterious universe we live in and I believe the human mind is not capable of understanding even a small fraction of it.
We believe we know how it all works from the very large to the very small. I am mostly interested in the very small because without that there would be no very large.
And so we delve into the very small and how it relates to us, the very large.
My thanks to Wikipedia for this definition
As many of you know about the thought experiment of Erwin Schrödinger, Schrödinger's Cat and for those that don't here is a quick review.
Schrödinger's cat: a cat, a flask of poison, and a radioactive source are placed in a sealed box. If an internal monitor (e.g. Geiger counter) detects radioactivity (i.e. a single atom decaying), the flask is shattered, releasing the poison, which kills the cat. The Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics implies that after a while, the cat is simultaneously alive and dead. Yet, when one looks in the box, one sees the cat either alive or dead not both alive and dead. This poses the question of when exactly quantum superposition ends and reality collapses into one possibility or the other.
If we believe in this theory that, we, as the observer, have control over reality and that reality comes into being because we make the observation, it must mean that we have some control over it.
I once heard a story of a shaman that was standing on a beach looking out across the ocean. He stood there for many hours just staring out to sea.
His friends asked him what he was doing and he said he thought he could see something. They looked out to sea but could see nothing. As the shaman kept looking he finally saw something. It was a sailing ship and he could see the wooden hull and the sails. He still didn't know what it was but he could finally see it. His friends still couldn't see the ship so he started to describe to them what he was seeing. Suddenly they could all see the sailing ship as it was anchored many miles off shore.
Because the shaman had no concept of what a sailing ship was, it was impossible for his mind to see it. Only by looking intently out to sea at this object did his mind piece together a picture of it and then he could describe it.
Quantum physics and reality is similar to this.
Particles don't exist until we observe them and then probability collapses into reality.
This is an incredible theory!
So is our reality just a concept of our minds?
Well, here is a definition:
Reality is the state of things as they actually exist, rather than as they may appear or might be imagined. In a wider definition, reality includes everything that is and has been, whether or not it is observable or comprehensible. A still broader definition includes everything that has existed, exists, or will exist.
So this brings me to Faith
If you ask a religious person if they have faith they will probably say yes. They believe in a God and they believe that God is real. They have never seen God and yet they have faith that God exists.
We all believe we have faith in something but do we really?
Think of the Earth. It has a crust some twenty miles thick and then underneath it is just molten rock and elements.
Most people's faith is the same.
Most of us have a thin veneer of faith that covers a large amount of doubt.
So how can we create the reality we want when we have mostly doubt in our minds and our faith?
Most everyone of us wants a good life, good things, good friends, and lots of money.
Most of us want happiness, love, peace, and respect for one another.
I am often reminded of the passage in the Christian bible, "Come to me as little children"
Why is that important?
Because children have faith, not just a veneer of faith, but real faith.
Here is a little story about me when I was four or five years old.
I walked into the bedroom one day and there sat my brother on the floor looking up at the light bulb on the ceiling and blinking his eyes very fast. I asked him what he was doing and he said sit down and look at the light and blink your eyes fast.
Well, my brother, who is fourteen months older than me was one of the smartest people I knew at that time, so I did what he said.
There we were, sitting, looking up at the light blinking away like mad.
Then he said, "Do you see them?"
All I could see were these little colored disks floating by the light. They reminded me of the plastic colored disks in a game of tiddlywinks.
Then he said, "Follow them down to the floor and keep blinking"
"Do you see them on the floor?"
"Yes", I said, I can see them!"
Then he said, "Now pick them up."
An I did! I could feel them and see them in my hand! They were as real as anything!
He said, "They don't last long." And as he said that they started to fade away.
To this day I know that I was holding something in my hands!
This is the faith of little children and it is this faith that you must regain if you want your reality to change!
I have no answers for you on how you can accomplish this, but I do have suggestions that may help.
Never say I need something or I want something because all you will end up with is the need or the want of that thing.
You must know that it is there and will happen...this is faith. And then just put it out of your mind and completely forget about it. This stops doubt from creeping in, which it will if it is still in your conscious thoughts.
It may take practice and I am not saying it is easy, but learn to focus on what you want to change and then forget it.
The message has gone out and the universe has heard you!
Please let me know what you think.
I am always happy to hear your comments and will do my best to respond!
Thank you for sharing. I definitely agree with this. People need to understand that the power is in their hands, since we are all extensions of God and have the same potential as God. We lose this power though, if we keep victimizing ourselves and believing things are happening TO us, instead of BECAUSE OF us. Our realities are continuously being created by the vibration we hold, and since thoughts are vibrations, which ultimately cause the emotions we feel, then our thoughts and emotions are creating our realities. The moment we start noticing this and making conscious changes is the moment we gain power over our life again. Basically, the beliefs and thought patterns we hold and focus on everyday, usually without even noticing, greatly impact our lives. Change these to what you would like to see happen with the utter knowing that it will based on your faith in the universe, and you will begin to see something as little as synchronicity occurring or even large and complete manifestations happening rapidly.
Nicely said my friend!
There is so much we do not see!
Thanks
