So generally the word "best friends" is thrown around so easily these day. Everyone is calling "good friends", their best friends, but really it is all because they don't know what a best friend is. Even life long friends are not best friends. So what is a best friend?
I have a best friend and we do crazy things together all the time. Back in our younger days we liked to live life to the fullest. One of my favourite memories is back on my friends farm. We got all together, put lots of clothes on and decided to shoot at each other using pellet guns. Not the smartest idea, but still a lot of fun. Some of the bullets left marks and our parents were not happy about this at all.
With a best friend you should be able to do anything and everything with, from the craziest and most stupid ideas, to the deepest heart-warming things. Your best friend should be your wingman, the guy/girl you can count on to ensure that your best interests are always taken care of.
A lesson I learnt is that not every good true friend can be your best friend, although they might be able to make you happy and be a really good friend to you, they still can't do everything a best friend can. Sometimes your best friends will change, but this is fine as people mature and their lives change and they might even change. Just always be looking for that one friend you can be completely crazy with and make him/her your best friend.
Beautiful words .. amazing
We all need that friend in time of distress
Thanks for sharing this with us
Love this post. It is so true folk do use the words Best Friend pretty lightly these days. My best friend and myself have been friends for over 50 years we have been through all sorts of hills and valleys together and it only made us closer. We are both retired now and we have a Friend's Bucket List that we do together we started it last summer and have already crossed a few off our list. One of the best one was we went to a Pow Wow on a Reservation what a life experience. We live north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I know all her secrets and she knows all mine and they will go no further till the end of time. I have been blessed to have a partner in crime commonly known as my BEST FRIEND.
I had such a friend for almost 10 years. We knew each other since we were 6 years old till 16. We also lived in the same village and were classmates. Unfortunately she died in an accident few months before her 16th birthday and I was lost. Today is 11 years since that happened. Well now my best friend is my boyfriend, we've been together 7 years now. And he is the best of best friends somebody could wish for and I am so grateful.
Yeah, yours truly. Interesting tips to live a life and enjoy it
@africaunited I think we will be BFF

Hello friends, your words were very good, I honestly think that a friend who shares with another person in the day of danger is a professional friend.

True words, most times people confuse acquaintances with best friends
A best friend will never desert you no matter the situation
Will support you in all you do
Best friends are priceless, and if you've got one, value every bit of the friendship
Great post about friendship. Thank you for sharing. It reminded me of this little poem:
Roses are red
Violets are Blue
I am my own best friend
And so am I
Enjoyed reading this!
When I was very much Younger, had a Guy I thought was My Best Friend , at the Time ?, a little while later he was with some Fellows whose intention was to Panelbeat me slightly!
leaves a lot to think about his post but I found it interesting I hope to see his publications again
Nice concept you go there @africaunited 👌👌👍
Nice post from the heart. It's clear how much fun shooting at one another might be with a pellet gun - completely identify with that one. My (at that time) best friend and I once decided to smoke dry straw in a shed on our family farm - it caught on fire - raised to the ground. It was such a major thing neither of us has spoken about it to date. I often find myself writing about those days of my youth in kwazulu on my blog here - I'm starting to feel old ;-)
