True Freedom

Freedom!!! Freedom!!! Freedom!!!
Those words mean a lot to us and what they represent in our life's could totally be best describe by us. On a common platform we all want the freedom to express ourselves, pursue the things that we love to pursue and get fulfilment from them.
We hate to be in any situation or circumstance that make it look like we are not free and would fight with the last drop of blood in our veins to achieve freedom in any form.
The more we fight for freedom the more we are enslaved even by the same things we love and would like to have or do.
So I would pose this question to you, is there true freedom?
While I will allow your thoughts go on a journey through your life and begin to look at the area's in life where you have sought for freedom and did you finally get it.
I slowed down during my writing this to pose the question to those in my network on one of the social networking medium and the answers where amazing and funny too. We would cover those answer in the line of our discussions.
We started life carefree then we found out that we had to go to school and off we went and for those who didn't have the means to go to school they went of doing something else because life was placing a demand for them to prove the worth of their living.
Often in these ventures we would wish there are times were we are free from all the hassles that we face in life. We look forward to that period when we leave the secondary school and we would be free.
Just in our thoughts we found out that we would need to go to the university to finish off those childhood dreams we once nursed, we hop on the bus on off we go again.
In wanting to find fulfilment from life we move on to the next big thing that will get us closer to the place where we want to be.
I had sat with my mates during the hectic periods of writing our final thesis to earn us a bachelors degree in the university, the stress have almost weigh us down that some of us literally lost weight and my friends would say in those moments it wont take more than a few months and we will be free.
Sure, few months came and pass and we did final our reports but we find out that the cycle still awaits us.
You would have to go to NYSC and then you start looking for a job or any work to get you by. Again the thought of a spouse arise you begin to see the need for children and finally you grow so old and you have lived all your life pursuing freedom which I believe death would finally give.
And all this is like a striving after wind said the preacher.
My on-line poll proved that only in Christ the one who died to take a way the sins of the whole world and resurrected that those who BELIEVE who secure eternal life by their believe.
Friend true freedom comes from him who alone can give freedom. For he who the son of man sets free is free indeed. This is an unravelled mystery of life otherwise we would pursue all our toil and miss out on true freedom.
