So when we bought our house there was an old Chevy truck that came on the property. After 3 years we decided it was time for this lawn ornament to go to a new home.
We pulled it with our 4 wheeler and @alaskahippie pushing. We placed it on the top of the driveway with a free sign on the tailgate and paper signs in the windows. The key was even hanging around the shifter.
45 min after parking it a deplorable couple came buy and looked at it. Then removed the signs took the key( we found out later) and left.
Several other people attempted to get it but due to the fact of the key being taken they could not move it.
After work I pulled the driveshaft so it could be trailered if needed. I am working nights so at 0930 my wife came into the house and said some idiot just ran the truck through our cable gate.
The truck got away from him and slipped the chain breaking our lock. He pulled it back to the spot we hand it and reblocked the tires.
I went back to bed after replacing the lock. At 1130 my wife comes back in and tells me some one is stripping the truck. I walk to the top of the drive again and they are removing the steering column so the truck can be towed.
After 45 minutes they pull the truck enough to turn it around. Then they leave. He had a job interview. They rerun and finally take the truck.
24 hours of constant hassle to give a truck away.
Then @alaskahippie gets harassed for calling out the people that stole the key.
An over all shit day to be nice and give away a parts truck to people who actually fix their own shit.
This community also deleted my post for saying “not fucking cool” and for saying “don’t take the fucking key if your not going to take the truck”, oh and “your so FUCKING funny” to a jack ass. I was told not to use the “f-bomb” to “delete my post or have an admin delete it”. Admins are just as bad as a communist, ‘think my way or go way’ mentality.

This is why I have 25-foot walls enclosing my property. No respect. Now they have to find the one gate and be invited in. People can be such dicks.
I have a gate in my driveway and I usually always left it open, it wasn’t until I was actually staying home did I notice how many people were actually in and out of my yard. Posted signs, didn’t work. Posted a very specific sign, didn’t work. I closed my gate and used the ditch and through the bush for awhile.. didn’t work for me, I hated having to open/close my gate.. and why should I have to? people should read/see all of my signs... right?! Wrong!
So now I just leave half of my gate open, most people won’t go in there it looks like a tigh squeeze to most(its on a curve in the road) but I can squeeze in my truck with the trailer like a pro now with like a half inch to spare on each side! My specific sign is also right there on a saw horse its like a 3ft x 3ft sign! lol
That’s such bull shit!!
I have people stopping in my driveway all the time too, I call the cops, cops say they have more rights then I do because it connects to a road.

Well, my little piece of paradise just became hell on earth this morning. It is no longer going to be just a revolution or internal war. A staff member from the American embassy was tortured and murdered this morning on the highway to the airport. I believe now, Trump will be involved.
