Get The Fuck Out Of The House For The Little Experiences

in #life7 years ago

o my little boy

Because it's the little experiences that make the big differences.

And it makes life meaningful.

The other day I was just walking my dog. It was raining so we basically just chilled at the foyer when a family came down.

They were waiting for someone to pick them up.

The mom was tending to her kids, which consisted of two girls and one boy.

The boy had Down Syndrome.

He was very intrigued with Rocky, my dog.

He asked, in his innocent and somewhat falsetto tone a bunch of questions.

"Does Rocky bite?"

"Is Rocky fierce?"

"He's so big!"

And so on.

Man, the innocence in that child I tell you.

I can't explain it.

I don't even want to explain it.

It's just about gaining these experiences when you get out of the house.

You gotta immerse yourself in life outside! You can't get them online or whatever.

Experiencing the good shit in life doesn't have to be this big thing about getting out of your comfort zone or whatever.

It's just... getting out of the house.

Maybe you'll able to give up your seat to an elderly person.

Maybe a stranger will smile at you.

Maybe a hot girl will wink at you.

Maybe you decide to get a beer while taking a walk and it's the best damn beer that tastes like nectar from the heavens.

Whatever.

Just get out and relax.

Peace.

If anything you've just convinced me to stay inside Lol

wut y

The thought of getting some sort of magical feeling from a kid with down syndrome because he's just so 'innocent' doesn't appeal to me, neither does the thought of strangers smiling at me or leaving the house in a hope of giving my seat up to an elderly person, not that I wouldn't, it just seems counter productive given that if you'd stayed in they'd have had the seat you would have taken anyway. So yeah... I'm not opposed to leaving the house btw Lol, it's def important as human beings, it's just that your post is... Questionable.

i respect your view though i find it quite cynical. Well, to each his own. I definitely need a lot of balance myself. I am actually home most of the time. My introverted side can't take outside too much lol

I'm pretty much the same, it's not the outside world I'm opposed to rather just the people that populate it Lol, it's good to get out though yeah, breath some fresh air, take in a bit of the sun, I'm a bit on the vampire side.

Sooooo right!!!

you can only have experiences like that when you go out sometimes, I used to go many times to a retirement home, i could see how the older people woke up and had so much fun to touch the dog.
