Are you constantly in conflict with yourself about the habit of smoking weed? With all the misunderstood perspectives to marijuana use I offer a non-bias approach to explain my experience with the habit of getting high. If your reading this you’re probably a frequent user or hate everything about it, personally I’ve been smoking since I was 15 years old and here is my point of view.
Can’t go a day without it? Probably cause your used to the perspective.
“Marijuana enhances our mind in a way that enables us to take a different perspective from ‘high up’, to see and evaluate our own lives and the lives of others in a privileged way. Maybe this euphoric and elevating feeling of the ability to step outside the box and to look at life’s patterns from this high perspective is the inspiration behind the slang term “high” itself.” - Sebastian Marincolo
Remember when your mother told you not to take anything in excess? Well she was right! If you spend more time high then sober than what’s your real reality? Sure, having a different perspective is great for introspection but the negatives you encounter are extremely decremental to your growth as a person. If I take it too far I have very hard time with my work ethic and I lose sight of my aspirations. I get misaligned from my goals and everything becomes too relaxing. Instead of making weed habitual I suggest taking frequent breaks to get back to reality, it’s almost like a new wave of motivation, everything gets done and I become more aware of the slack that I developed.
The devil’s lettuce?
If you can’t stand the smell or the sight of someone smoking weed it’s probably because you haven’t tried it or had a negative first experience. I noticed that most people that down talk marijuana just don’t understand why it’s so good. Marijuana is the best natural anti-stress herb out there, if you have a hard day at work and don’t want to deal with everyday stress, weed is the prefect remedy. For me I can get a little too uptight about my life, I’m consistently trying to better myself and sometimes it can get a little overwhelming. Instead of just working hard till I crash I let go a little with weed. Overall marijuana teaches you valuable lessons you wouldn’t have learned otherwise.
“Herb is the healing of a nation, alcohol is the destruction.” -Bob Marley
Either way anything you take to the extreme always bights you in the ass. If you’ve never tried it, try it and if you get headaches without it I suggest taking a little break. For me I like to end my days with a little and occasionally take break if I start to lose sight of what’s important to me.

Started smoking cannabis at the age 13.
This is a very special and highly addictive substance.
All the things that under the influence of cannabis taught me.
I agree it's good to take breaks, but it's also good for the soul.
I'd rather have the habit of smoking a plant then be addicted to my phone, food or alcohol.
Great post.
Endless benefits for sure deff a lifelong smoker!
I like your balanced approach to this article. Yes, it can be very beneficial but like you wrote it's good to take breaks because you can take anything to excess.
Cant get lost in the sauce haha
We're about to legalize it in Canada. Hopefully this will debunk some of the long associated stigma, and provide an alternative to more dangerous substances like tobacco, alcohol or opioids.
