I am one of the first 21 STAR (Singapore Talents, Artistes and Resources Association) Member who is a certified professional, and among the first 42 professionals in the events and entertainment industry here to be "CEPP - Emergency Response Ready"!

We were also taught important life-saving skills.

Fire fighting skills were taught as well.

Yes, it actually takes a lot more to be an entertainer nowadays ;)

To be honest, as part of the events and entertainment industry which is usually in front of crowds, we took the responsibility upon ourselves to value add and be more of an asset should an emergency arises. We are trained to at least know what the correct procedures to actually help.

We are all on a journey, remember to enjoy the sights and sounds along the way, and do good as often as you can and as much as possible.

Alex

Those are good skills to have, whether you're performing or not.

I had to take a course like this every year for my retail management position, but it wasn't this thorough, and it definitely didn't involve firefighting skills.
