My daughter @gailbelga experienced the same thing. For the entire stay in college, she had been battling her department chair because her scholarship required by her university is to get a full load of the required subjects. Most of her professors submitted her grades late so she would always end up to pick her electives. She also needed to graduate on time as per her contract.
I must say, the amount you need to pay was quite big and unreasonable. If things get rough, I know prayer works. Pray unto God that He will shed a light on your problem. Your problem is nothing compared to his godliness.
And if you opt to graduate later than what you planned, then think of it as a way of God honing you to becoming a great engineer someday.
You are a bright child. You have a great God. You are able to overcome it.
