The most important vitamins for our body

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Vitamins have a key role for a variety of body functions. Vitamins provide the health of the body, and each of them has an extremely important role. Some of them can not be synthesized by the body, so they should be taken from food. Let's see the importance of vitamins for our body and the foods that supply it:

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant. It plays an important role in the synthesis of collagen, hemoglobin, carnitine, hormones and neurotransmitters, plays an antiinfectious role, promotes wound healing, growth and contributes to the elimination of stress. The main sources of vitamin C are fruits (citrus, strawberries) and vegetables (tomatoes, broccoli, green lettuce).

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is very important if you do not want to have problems of sight. The good view was related to the intake of this vitamin. You can get a good daily dose of vitamin A by eating animal liver, egg or cow's milk.

Vegetables rich in beta-carotene also provide important amounts of vitamin A. Such foods include carrots, spinach and cabbage.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a beneficial antioxidant for the body that offers protection against heart disease and cancer. It is also added to creams or oils to the skin to prevent signs of aging, and as a treatment for sunburn. The best sources of vitamin E are whole grains, nuts and seeds.

Vitamin B-Complex

Vitamin B-Complex are responsible for the proper functioning of the nervous and immune system, helping to assimilate nutrients. The most important are the vitamins B12 and B9 (folic acid). Vitamin B12 helps oxygenate the blood and is essential for nervous system function. You can find her in sardines, tuna, eggs, milk, cheese. Folic acid strengthens the immune system and renews the cells. It is also useful during pregnancy, because it prevents the occurrence of congenital malformations. You can get it from bananas, potatoes, beans, red peppers, nuts, asparagus, citrus, peas, lentils, cauliflowers.

Vitamin D

Considered one of the most important vitamins, it helps to absorb calcium in the body and strengthens the bones. Daily sun exposure for at least 10 minutes stimulates the production of this vitamin in the body. You can eat eggs, fatty fish, mushrooms, milk, soy.

Vitamin E

Good for blood circulation, vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant and a shield against free radicals. Vitamin E maintains the health of the vascular and nervous system and protects the cell membranes. Vitamin E deficiency decreases fertility, causes anemia and nervous system disorders. So, eat nuts, raw sunflower seeds and tomatoes.
