I dunno. I pick my tags based on my posts, and what I think best characterizes what I post.
For political posts I make them directly from Political Hive, so I'm not 100% certain when a post made from another front end would get picked up here.
When communities first advented I joined #informationwar, and restrained my urge to join more communities as they turned up, because I am prone to excess and didn't want to fritter away my impact on too many communities. Never heard of political Hive as a result of my studied ignorance of communities beyond #informationwar.
