I have been sick for the last few days. Did not feel like doing much at all, Do not do much but sit and relax and play on the computer. That was between coughing and all the stuff that goes with a viral upper infection. Yes, it was a great time! NOT! Today I was feeling a little bit better but not at 100% yet. It was time for a grocery run and going to get so other things that were needed and could not be put off anymore. So it was a trip to town, yes a ride that is 80 miles round trip. It was a time to hit the dreaded store yeah. this one!

Yes, Wal-Mart. My wife and I are turning into the parking lot and it is packed. Well, it is pretty much that way all the time as it is the only Wal-Mart for 30 or so miles in the area. Thinking we are never going to find a close parking place and I start to park in the back instead of driving around all over the place and every parking spot I try to get someone gets it just as I am about to park in it. Did not want to start this day off wrong so just not going to do it, I look ahead and there is someone backing out in a spot 5 spaces from the door. What luck, I park and hope it goes this good inside.
We get inside and start the task of grocery shopping, you have the normal things going on. People stopping in the middle of the aisle to talk in the phone and block it so you can not get by or go around. Then they look at you like you just slapped them when you say "Excuse Me" so you can continue your trip through the store. Then you have people stopping next to each other talking blocking the whole aisle, the whole time looking at you and you try to get by them and they just stare at you like you are the dingbat. So I was glad to get things we needed and headed to the front to check out! We get there and what do you think we see.

As we are trying to figure out which long checkout line to get in by looking what is in the carts of the people that are in front of us and how fast or good, whichever way you want to look at it, the cashier is. We find a line that we thought might move along a little faster than most. So that is the one we get into, then as all the lines get longer the cashier that is working the line we are in goes and break and along comes on that is so slow that it really frustrating. I just sighed and settled in for a long wait.
Then like when we pulled in to store and a close parking space just happened to be available as we pulled in, the register next to the one we were in opened up and we jumped to it to get checked out. So all in all the day went pretty good. I still do not like going to Wal-Mart but it was an easy run for the day. I guess good things can happen to you when you have a good attitude going in and just be nice to people in the store that you really want to scream at and chew them out. So just smile and say "Thank You" and move along quietly.
Well, that was our adventure for the day, I hope everyone had a good day and everyone has a good night, whatever it is in your part of the world. Tomorrow we get to go back into town because we forget a prescription that we needed and I will get dragged through the dollar store too. I will have to put on the happy face tomorrow too. Wish me luck!

I always find my self in that store at 6pm, which is the worst time ever to be there, besides a sunday. Argh, I fell your pain! lol
Yeah, we always end up there at the wrong time too. No matter how hard we try not too.
