Nearly 1 million street children live in Dhaka city Bangladesh. Almost all of them work on street to live. Some of them have their parents, after work all day, they get a chance to sleep at home at night. But the street children who have no parents or home, they spend their night
Bus terminals, Temple, railway stations or under the open sky on the footpath of the city.

At the end of 2015, the report titled 'Inhuman life and various problems of street children' in the private development organization of Social and Economic Enhancement Program (SIP), says that 75 percent of street children can not go to the doctor due to lack of money. About 54 percent street children do not get any support when they get sick.
Approximately 40 percent of street children can not take bath daily. And 35 percent of children excretion in open space. After all, they grew up in unhealthy conditions. According to the report, the number of roadships increased at alarming rates. The number of roadships currently in the country is 10 million. About 44 percent of street children smoke and 41 percent of children have no bed for sleeping at night.

According to the latest information on the Bangladesh Children's Rights Forum, 85 percent of street children have taken drugs in some way or the other. Among them 19 percent heroin, 44 percent of the smoking, 28 percent of different tablets and eight percent of the drug injected.

A study conducted with street children found that 34.4 percent of children had maximum six months in a particular place. Of them, 29 percent of the children were shifted from the law enforcement agencies and 33 percent by the local security guard. It has been said in the report that, while sleeping under the open sky, local extortionist and security guards take 250 - 350 Taka (3-5 USD) per month from 56 percent street children, which is very inhuman. What the government should do in this case
By bringing these Street Children's back to the main stream of society, making them social and state assets, the government's concerned ministry will have to come forward with a real action plan. With this, they will have to organize the program planning organization with street children and involve them in implementing the national plan. Apart from this, more practical programs will be extended for rehabilitation of street children. Especially, drop-in centers (DIC), open street school, shelter, psychosocial counseling and technical training centers etc. And to implement these programs, many NGOs will also be involved in working with children.

Today's children have the possibility of coming sooner or future holder. They will be rich in physical, mental, health, education and thinking; The future of the nation will be as strong. We want to take the street children in the family. We want to build a street children free Bangladesh. The task is very difficult, but not impossible. So, this difficult task will be done by public, private, international organizations, voluntary organizations and people all together.
