HAPPY EID FITR 2021 to those of you who celebrate it.
We interpret the celebration of our big day as a day to get better by forgiving each other. And also as a day to get even better after we made it through the challenge of 30 days of fasting every day in a row.
Eid al-Fitr reflections always bring tears to my eyes. It is a great blessing in life that makes the heart fill with serenity and happiness.
This is the second year I celebrate a big day without my father. I hope he can hear my prayers every day.
Then there is the presence of the AL which makes our days here have more laughter.
May all of us be filled with blessings and be granted happiness in even the simplest of ways.

How are the "celebrations" this year in Indonesia? Are you able to go to the mosque and/or visit family? We have a total lockdown, so we have to celebrate at home for those who are in the faith and pray at home. Also no family visits. I miss that tradition, but there will be other occasions.

In here we still pray in the mosque but lockdown. so other family members from another city can't be together.
I asked an aunt and they did pray at home with close family and read articles that that was also advised by the religious leaders to pray at home.
The "other" time came sooner than I thought 😁; my parents picked me up today to eat at our grandparents as is tradition here; the young will visit the elder. It was still close knit family and no outsiders. Family who were away also didn't join. It was a combination of celebrating Eid and Mother's day.
