Acción Animal is a dog shelter in Playa del Carmen that uses all of its resources to help sick or stray dogs, give them care and try to find them a new family. They have them in 5 different spaces according to their aggressivenes to avoid fights between them. Some of them even have a pool!
Last week I made a post about how there is still good in the world and its worth fighting for it. I believe there´s still a good side in every person.
Thank you all for proving me right!
Here I am with Pinky, this female pitbull full of love and on her last days on this earth. The moment she saw me come inside she went straight to me, got into two legs and started licking me.
She has sking cancer, she is 99% of the time on anti-pain pills. She doesn´t have any fur and her skin is full of crusts that peel off anytime she licks them. Yet all she wanted to do was give me love and affection.
The shelter has around 60 dogs, all of them rescued from abusive owners or from the street, they need all the help they can get. I wasn´t allowed to take more pictures because there´s been people in the past that went there and tooko photos for personal use so the shelter is cautious to whom they let take pics, I hope next time I go they allow me to take more pics.
My first Faith in Humanity made 19 dollars, here is proof of purchase for around 27 dollars in Dog Food.
Again, thank you all for your help!
It's begun! Nice work my friend :) I will be resteeming, though now that we're on the seven day pay schedule I like to wait a day for that, so hopefully it will grab some more exposure when I bounce it from my blog tomorrow ;)
Thankk you very much! :D I hope these stories are fulfilling its purpose and uplifting everyone´s faith :)
I´m glad you like this idea...
I'm sure they are! Though it is difficult when you're new to attract the kind of reader base that will make a significant impact. I remember my first few weeks here I tried out using an original tag as my first tag and that post might have been seen by three people before it fell into obscurity ha! But now I can use whatever tags I feel like using and it does not present that problem-my point being, don't get discouraged! It takes some time and effort, but it will pay off :)
You are so right! I use the faithinhumanity tag as the third one, I hope someday I can use it as the first! But in the meantime as you say, I wont get discouraged :d
Bless your kind soul... followed and upvoted.
Thank you very much eva! We will keep reading each other, I hope you like the next ones!
I knew there was something I said I was going to do ;)
So sad about the pit, I have one myself-Lucy-she's the best dog anyone has ever met! I read somewhere that pits tend to have skin problems-but did you know that affection keeps that at bay? The oils from people's hands from petting actually prevent the rashes common to the breed. I can't prove that's true except to say Lucy has no rashes :)
Wow... so that means that the more affection and care a pit gets, the lesser percentage it has to get skin problems? Well, even if that is not true and only a theory Im going to stick with it from now on :) I wanna see some pics of Lucy! Thanks for the resteem btw :D
It's a theory, though not only mine, I read about it and Lucy seems to be proving it :)
So cute dogo :)
I will send a donation, I love furbabies :) Thank you for looking after them :)
Great to see you helping out the animals man, nicely done!
