I think what's lacking in the education system is the fact that those that have well formulated arguments on how certain speech and ideas effect education negatively are treated. People that stand up to certain injustices in the education system don't have enough support behind them and often are shut up by the institutions themselves. Not all are like this but if you think about it, most places won't allow speech that is against their teachings or doesn't support their ideology. I get this to an extent but I think more can be done here. Often, those that speak out are threatened, and that's not fair at all. We need a more even playing feel in therms of of being able to actually have the freedom of speech on various educational grounds.

Yes! Free speech is a huge issue in the education system. The especially ironic and sad fact is that education is supposed to be about sharing ideas with each other and growing together, yet the education system suppresses any new ideas that go against previous teachings... This is a complete failure of the system that sadly happens everywhere on a daily basis.... Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
