What I have learned from a quote of Stephen Hawking

Recently there was something happened in my experience in Steemit and the community I was joining.

One guy has brought me up a situation, in which that may bring me some discomfort.

Indeed, imagine that if you have spent a lot of effort to do something, then an outcome is entirely different from what you are expecting, what you may feel?

Frustrated? Yes, I am.

No matter what you are doing and what you are trying to do, if an outcome is not what you are expecting, the first feeling would be frustration. There are many levels of disappointments, in which lead to the similar result is stress, anger, and jealousy.

I was there before

I have to admit that in the past, I used to have a lot of expectations, for my works, for my contributions and for other people who I am working. Later on, I stumbled upon a great quote by a great man, Stephen Hawking:

“My expectations were reduced to zero when I was 21. Everything since then has been a bonus.”
-Stephen Hawking

A little bit about this quote:

I haven't read the full book yet, but I have learned that Stephen Hawking diagnosed with ALS (a special decease that makes the patient's life much shorter). He was diagnosed and expected to live only to the age of 21. However, he kept his spirit up and continue his left later on.

Why you are telling me this?

We are all living the life full of expectation. That is certain that everyone is looking forward to achieving something with a degree of expectation. However, if we try to reduce our expectation to a certain level, which may help us to live a more comfortable life, what is the worst thing that can ever happen?

“My expectations were reduced to zero when I was 21. Everything since then has been a bonus,” Stephen Hawking told the New York Times in 2004, after being asked how he kept his spirits up. “Life would be tragic if it weren’t funny.”

What do you define the meaning of your life? Are you going to live a life full of stress, anger, and jealousy because something doesn't live up to your expectation?

No, I will not live that life, not anymore.

I am trying to live a simple life, giving out as much as I can, without an expectation that someone may recognize my effort and will praise me. To me, living with less expectation to others and my life has improved it significantly.

Back to my case, I have the right to stand up and claim the credit for my work, my contribution. But instead, I have decided to live on and start another thing. After all, I have asked myself, why did I begin this project? Did I expect someone to praise me? Not at all. Therefore, let's keep it that way.

But, this is not an excuse for low productivity. Please bear in mind that this quote and my article only give you how I am trying to live a simpler, more meaningful life, not about putting away all my dreams and goals. I do have dreams and goals, and I am trying hard to achieve it, but by myself, without an expectation that someone will join in and help me with my own life.

Much easier, then.

I am young too , I was looking into future optimistic, Now I am pesymistic through people around me . I think that every human have feelings good and bad . People arround you are very important because they could motivate you or make you frustrated angry and shiftless. I have a few ideas for a business but when I am talking with other people they give me negative power and I don't want to try my capabilities. I think sometimes that I will be happy without people arround me and maybe one day I will left my life and I will go into Laponia to live in the forest <3.

I saw this quote onlineScreenshot_20180707-235347_01.jpg

I do believe in the future and humanity, but the fact is that, you need to be a leader by your own. I was like you before, an ambitious young guy with a dream to have many businesses. Then I had problems with people around, so that I have decided to stop all that unhealthy relationship, and focus mainly on those that matter.

In your case, I would give my advice to stand on your own feet and begin your own business.

Life is too short to feel bad, right?

Yes it is true. But in many examples , you couldn't change one thing . This thing is FAMILY. You love them, and they often destroy you. I am destroyed by family , and a little faults like betting sports... Now I am trying comeback to my creativity and real form.

You have my support bro, may the force be with you. There are bad people and good people out there, try to hand around with good people. I wish you all the best @attoan.cmt

As Bill Gates said “Life is not fair - get used to it!”. Sometimes you have to stand up and raise your voice

Thanks sis. In this case, I decided to stay out. My purpose is to help the community, not to claim reward or credit for myself :)

That's True.

My father always said "Life isn't fair" when I was growing up. As much as it was annoying to hear, it has helped me so much now in my life as an adult. Such great advice. @livvu if you enjoy motivational blogs and audio recordings, I have been writing/speaking for a while now. I would love if you would read a couple and let me know what your thoughts are. I always love connecting with people that care about pushing themselves forward! @PhillipAndrewLA

Thank you @phillipandrewla, I will take a look

This one is the one that I like the most by Stephen Hawking:

"There is no unique picture of reality."

You got no big mouth but we truly value your silent legacy! xD Happy steeming!

Thanks a bunch, bro.

God gifted human you miss you sir.

great post..keep it up always

physical disabililty is nothing in comparision to mental power! :)

Interesting point of view! Some are just as trapped by character flaws as physical disabilities. The mind is a powerful tool and can help us overcome many limitations if we have the scope and will to use it.

We have the power to decide what will hurt us and what will not.

Every day we must live it as if it were the last.

"Live and let live" is my favorite phrase.

Always do good. Every action, however small, will change our future.
