Well, there are so many things that we have not been able to proof today, yet existed. That you are not able to proof something does not mean its not existent. The existence of a thing proves it beginning even if one is unable to measure it.

I suppose it's a matter of faith. I personally cannot prove that there is no beginning and no end, however certain religions and faiths believe it to be so. So who's to say? We keep our own beliefs and in the end... it doesn't really matter... until someone finds the end... :-)
