Secularism and India
Secularism means is equal treatment to all the religious living in India.
With the 42 nd Amendment of constitution of India 1976.The preamble
Of the constitution that contend that India is a secular nation, Either
India s constitution nor its law define the relationship between religion
And state.One manifestation of secularism is asserting the right to be
Free from religious rule and teaching, or in a state declared to be natural
On matters of belief, from the imposition by government of religion
Or religious practices upon its people.
During the freedom struggle, secularism was emerging as the most dominant
Principle. The leaders of national congress Gandhi, Abul kalam Azad Neheru
And others were deeply committed to the deal of secularism. Secularism
Became the mantra of Indian nation.
